BALER SURF, NATURE AND ADVENTURE SERIES

The wind and the strong waves will definitely follow me once I master the art of surfing. I wanted to be a surfer at least for a day . And I found myself hitting on the road once again. I already convinced myself to pursue the art of maneuvering the surfboard with my gusty moves.

Despite of my short travel funds , this trip pushed through with the help of my best travel buddies.

That’s incredible- Long and bumpy Elbow Bus ride

I really feel the heat of summer sunshine. The most awaited season for everyone .So without hesitation , I packed my bag and my camera and headed to the bus station. We actually agreed to meet up at around 9pm at the Gateway Mall in Cubao but I guess We had a little confusion as to what time we should meet at the bus station. So we made an adjustment with the time and the call time was moved to 11pm.

A glimpse the 1.61 kilometer long dam enveloped by the picturesque view of Sierra Madre Mountains.

I went ahead to the Five Star Bus Station early on time. I just had to wait for everyone to arrive . A little later , I had a big smile on my face the moment I saw those familiar faces  which I never felt out-of-place each time we go on a trip somewhere.

We’re all set. After a little chit-chat , we situated ourselves and boarded on a bus bound for Cabanatuan. I am so glad we managed to find our own seat.  I wanted to take a seat close to the window so I can see the view and take a photo of anything that I like. Thanks to Andrew because he offered the window seat.

I was very comfortable with the air-conditioned bus . I knew we’re going to have a great time . This hop on the bus experience is something our group would like to try.  All the time we laughed and chatted as if there’s no tomorrow. This particular bus ride bonded our group together. And I guess , it made our trip work for all of us.

Getting to Baler , Aurora is very easy .

One must hop on a bus bound for Cabanatuan , Nueva Ecija via Five Star Bus Liner along EDSA. Once you are in Cabanatuan , take a tricycle going to the bus terminal and take a mini bus ( ordinary for Php176, which means no airconditioning) who cares after all it was cold that morning. Or you can hire a van that costs Php230.
Another option is to hop on a Genesis Bus which will take you to Baler in 7-8hours. If you wish to get there in as fast as 5hours , one must hop on a Joy Bus Express and costs Php695. For scheduled bus trips , Check the Genesis Transport website .” Sakay na!”

I was watching the sunset aboard the van back to the Bus Terminal in Cabanatuan.

It was another incredible trip to remember  with some of the best travel buddies you could ever have. Watching the sunday sunset like the photo above while going back to the bus terminal in Cabanatuan made my day complete. After learning some of the hot spots and historical sites in Baler, I noticed a wonderful display of colors in the sky that weekend. Another trip that has been successfully accomplished.  I will certainly be back next time. Thank you for the good memories Baler!
