My Daranak adventure is totally one of the best travel experiences I had. Its really a great trip for this month to begin with. Daranak is one of the not so famous falls in the Philippines. In fact I wouldnt have known the place if a friend/trekker didnt suggest the place… See for yourself..
Just a 5 to 10 minute walk from Daranak Falls, another natural beauty welcomes you – Batlag Falls, which offers everything Daranak has, same rates, complete with the same views except for an overnight stay for a small additional extra fee which Daranak does not offer. So guys, if you really do want to get really close to nature by spending a night, Batlag might be best suited for you.I forgot how much the entrance fee was, but i believe its worth the money.. I guess I fell in love with the place , its not as crowded compared to Daranak Falls, its a smaller version of Daranak though.
Batlag Falls is such a smaller place and sooo quiet too , I should say its more laidback . Its almost fountain like , even the water comes down so calmly. Aside from the lush greeneries you would notice some small tree sprouts, plants are scattered all over the place there are numerous cottages and i believe owners are developing it to attract more tourists. I also learned that its a favorite spot for tv and filmmakers to shoot their movies or shows . It made me laugh because we never thought that when we got there , the cast of Machete were filming or shooting .I was kinda lost with some thoughts , the place so magical that i couldnt find the perfect word to describe it.
Summer is fast approaching this is a great place to unwind and recharge !
