The Civil Aeronautics Board allows Cebu Pacific more flights to five international destinations

CEBU, Philippines – A bomb is no laughing matter and joking about it especially in public places is all the more a no-no.

Arnold Go, 42 years old, was arrested Wednesday afternoon for making a bomb threat while he was on a plane that was awaiting takeoff  according to news report.

Go is currently detained at the Lapu-Lapu detention center and a criminal mischief will be charged against him.

Col. Constantino Barot said Go was onboard Cebu Pacific Flight 35J223 bound for Butuan and expected to take off around 2:50 p.m. when he was asked by the flight attendant to place his hand carry bag in the overhead baggage compartment.

When he said he can’t do it because he had explosives, the flight attendant then immediately informed the plane’s captain and reported the incident to airport officials.

Go was immediately brought out of the plane and a bomb squad was onsite to check his bag.

A total of 146 passengers didn’t make it to their flight destination because of the incident.
