Traveling gives us an incredible experience. Most of the time , we discover new things that can help us grow as a person . We begin to understand ourselves , wandering about the  world we live in. We  also learn and realize the path and destination we would  like to take.

Traveling oftentimes is very tiring but I bet you will find the joy of traveling  once you hit the road yourself.

TRAVEL BLOGGER

This month, I am delighted to introduce Jerome Baluyot of Balintataw.org.  I met him once during our Mount Pinatubo trip last January. And I can say that this man is a certified Travel Nuts. I am very impressed with his personality and his blog . To find out more of his adventure check out Balintataw.org and see for yourself why he enjoys being on the road.

TRAVEL BLOGGERABOUT HIS TRAVEL BLOG

I started blogging back in June 2010, it was right after my PC almost died on me because of the numerous photos I’ve accumulated from various travels in the Philippines and abroad. I’ve decided to put up a photo blog and eventually turned into a travel blog.

INFLUENCES

My influences in creating this blog are Gael of Pinay Solo Backpacker,  Angel of Lakwatsero, and Ron & Monet Flip N Travels
I named it Balintataw because I heard from a radio station that the Tagalog word for imagination and pupil of the eyes is Balintataw. I can’t get over the fact that we have a direct translation of both words, so I ended up using Balintataw.

BLOGS HE CAN’T STOP VISITING
Pinay Solo Backpacker – The way she narrates her adventures and misadventures got me hooked, especially when she went to Bangkok without a single dollar on hand. That was my first encounter with her blog because I was  looking for articles about Bangkok that time. Since then, I always go back to her site to check out her latest posts.

Lakwatsero – I like his blog’s layout design, very easy to navigate and reader friendly. I was also following his Tubbataha Reef posts because I’m a frustrated diver and I don’t think that I’ll have the chance to see Tubbataha Reef in this lifetime. I’m also a fan of his underwater photos, one of the reasons why I keep coming back.

Flip N Travels – who wouldn’t love Flip N Travels,  funny, witty and informative, that’s how good the articles of this blog. I always read their blog especially during the holy hours of the morning (when I’m reporting night shift at work) to keep me awake.

ON THE BEST THING ABOUT BLOGGING

– Meeting the bloggers , gaining friends, gaining travel buddies and it opens a lot of opportunities.

IS THERE A WORST THING ABOUT BLOGGING?

You got hooked or addicted that sometimes you can’t control it (lol). Aside from that, everything is good, there may be haters at times but there’s always the delete button.

ON WHERE HE FINDS INSPIRATION

Stories of my travel blogger friends, my passion in Photography and a number of travel shows Nat Geo and Discovery channel, my colleagues who always ask my help on fixing their itineraries, the challenge of budgeting and my dream to see the world.
