Cebu has been a popular travel destination for locals and tourists alike. For those who are not familiar with the place, Cebu is a province in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines. Because of its prime location and geography, the province is surrounded by smaller islands making it well known for its pristine beaches and diving spots.

Tourism is booming in this province because of all the attractions it has to offer. Although Cebu is well known for its beautiful beaches, there are a lot of adventures that this province can offer to thrill seekers and fearless travelers. If you’re one of those people, these 4 experiences in Cebu should be in your bucket list.
Enjoy swimming with whale sharks in Oslob
Oslob is located in the southern coast of Cebu. You may take a bus to get there, which is about a 3 to 4-hour ride. However, if you want a scenic and comfortable trip, you may talk to a local provider that offers an Oslob whale shark watching tour. Such tour packages already include air-conditioned transportation in which you’ll be conveniently picked up and dropped off from the airport or your hotel. It will also save you time as travelling via bus is longer because of all the stopovers.
Whale sharks are among the world’s largest fish and can grow up to 10 meters in length. There’s no reason to be afraid though as these gentle sea giants only feed on krill and small fish.
So, don on your swimming gear and never miss a chance to swim and snorkel with the whale sharks.
Take a leap of faith with skydiving in Bantayan Island
Bantayan Island is located in the northern part of Cebu. To get there, you will have to take a 3 to 4-hour bus ride and a 1-hour ferry trip. If you love beach hopping, Bantayan Island is the place to go. Unknown to many, there is an epic activity waiting for thrill seekers in this island.
Shout at the top of your lungs as you jump out of a plane thousands of feet up in the sky in a tandem skydive. This is the ultimate experience for all the adrenaline junkies out there. In a tandem skydive, a professional skydiving instructor will teach you the basic fundamentals and will skydive with you.
Brave the canyoneering adventure in Badian
If you opt for companies offering Cebu tours, this is one of their most sought-after packages. Be aware that this activity is not for the faint hearted. You must be fully prepared to walk through slippery and rough terrain, climb, rappel and jump off great heights.
The canyoneering adventure will start at the base of Canlaob river in Badian. Along the way, you will be braving the three cascading stages of the Kawasan Falls. I’ve been lucky enough to witness the beauty of Kawasan Falls on my trip to Cebu, year 2011. I tell you. Kawasan Falls has truly captivated me.
Be fearless in Danasan Eco Adventure Park
Let’s go up the mountains and take on the different adventure activities waiting at Danasan Eco Adventure Park. You can try their classic 440-meter long Zipline and witness the amazing mountain view. They also have a Sky Bike in which you’ll have to pedal your way to reach the other side.
If those activities are not exciting enough for you, go for their Sky Drop. You’ll have a hardness and strong cables to support you as you are suspended 120 feet above the ground. Your option to go down is to pull the rope and hang on for your life. The slower you reach the top, the faster you’ll feel the drop.
Those 4 adventures will surely keep your heart pumping. So, what are you waiting for? Book a trip to Cebu now and experience this bucket-list worthy activities.
