After the four and a half hour bumpy ride from San Jose Terminal in Puerto Princesa we finally reached our destination. Port Barton feels like a breath of fresh air when it finally comes into view.
On the northwest coast of Palawan, roughly halfway between Puerto Princesa and El Nido, PORT BARTON is far less developed than either of its busier towns. The roads are all dirt tracks, seldom you see a day-trippers and the flow of Filipino life continues to go on largely untouched by the small groups of wanderers lounging in the handful of budget beach hotels.
Budget hotels are for those who have a low budget or for folks who wish to spend as less as possible but can do more activities. The rooms here usually have essential facilities like a table, bed and washing services. Mostly you would find that these hotels have common toilets.
