– Heraklion – this is the largest city in Crete, and the fourth biggest Greek city. Needless to say there is plenty to see and do here, considering that this is a key place. From the Heraklion Archaeological Museum and the Historical Museum of Crete, to the Municipal Gallery and the Basilica of St. Mark, and the Koules Venetian Fortress, you are surely going to have a full day or even two checking out Heraklion and its various interesting lcoations.
