MANILA, Philippines – The Island of Palawan has been judged No.1 and Boracay No.12 among the Top 30 Islands around the World, based on a survey by international travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler.
Palawan obtained 88.750 points while Boracay garnered 82.683 points.
Palawan gained international fame when its Puerto Princesa Subterranean River, said to be the longest navigable underground river in the world, was recognized as one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature in 2012.
Carrying a huge travel-worn backpack, Rod and I finally arrived in front of Empire Suites Hotel after hours of traveling from Port Barton, a small coastal village in Palawan, Philippines. Feeling very tired but everything has changed soon as we entered the hotel’s stylish lobby and was initially greeted by their friendly receptionist.
We were actually even more thankful as we stepped into our stunning room with a cold welcome drink waiting for us.
The room isn’t really that spacious but surprisingly is that we have it all to ourselves.
Empire Suites Hotel standing in a prime location of Palawan puts everything the city has to offer just outside your doorstep. Offering a complete list of amenities, guests will absolutely find their stay at the property a relaxing and comfortable one. Service-minded hotel staff will welcome and guide you at the Empire Suites.
Non smoking rooms, internet access – wireless (complimentary), complimentary bottled water, shower, coffee and tea maker can be found in each guest room. Treat yourself from a full day of sightseeing in the comfort of your room or take advantage of the hotel’s recreational facilities, including massage. For reliable service and professional staff, Empire Suites caters to your needs.
The hotel’s toilet and bath is a bit cramped but is clean enough even for the pickiest comfort room critics. Hot water is also available thanks to their dispenser which is a plus factor for me because I can’t live without a coffee.
Empire Suites Hotel also provides complimentary breakfast meals. Their menu consists mostly of traditional Filipino choices, but I personally wanted to try the more local ones. There were crispy bacons, fried chickens, corned beefs, sausages and eggs. There were breads, jams, cheeses, butter and fruits.
Gorgeous room, excellent service, superb food trip experience and exceptional view of the busy street of Puerto Princesa City. More than enough I must admit.
Empire Suites is a fresh and modern hotel located in the heart of the city of Puerto Princesa, just 3 minutes away from the airport. You can shop, dine and entertain yourself after a short distance trip. The Hotel has 38 luxurious yet affordable guestrooms which is perfect for getaways.
