How to get from Coron to El Nido, and from El Nido to Coron
Lately this trip has been rendered as easy as can be, thanks to a new ferry that has been introduced by Jomalia Shipping. A fast and safe service, which is also relatively well priced, this ferry will take you from Coron to El Nido without any problem.
It is important to note that the trip leaves Coron once daily, at 7:30am. It will take around three and a half hours to arrive in El Nido, at about 11:00am.
For those who would like to use this ferry from El Nido to Coron the daily trip is made at 12:30pm. However this is not the only option of traveling to Coron or El Nido. There are also another two slow ferry options which are run by Montenegro Shipping Lines and Phimal. The former departs from Coron at 12:00pm and arrives in El Nido at around 3:30pm, while the latter departs from Coron at 1:00pm and arrives in El Nido at about 5:00pm.
The timetable for the trips from El Nido to Coron on the other hand is a departure at 6:00am for the Montenegro Lines ferry, and at 8:20am for the Phimal Fast Ferry.
Since traveling by one of the above mentioned ferries is the most common option, it is important to give some information about the ports. The Coron port is quite easy to reach. To give you an idea it is about 10 minutes away from the town centre if you were to travel by a tricycle.
The El Nido ferry terminal can be easily reached on foot as it is right next to the main beach, and so within close proximity to the El Nido town centre.
Flying from Coron to El Nido and from El Nido to Coron
For those who would prefer to travel by air instead of by ferry, there is also a direct flight between Coron and El Nido. This is available daily and is operated by Air Swift. The flight takes around 40 minutes. The flight from El Nido to Coron leaves at 8:40am, while the one from Coron to El Nido departs at 9:35am.
It is important to point out that the airport is not situated in Coron Town. So you would arrive in Busuanga, and then you will need to use a short bus transfer in order to arrive in Coron.
If you were to compare the fees involved when you travel by ferry or by plane, there is not a big difference. However the flight will inevitably be a bit more expensive.
How to make the most of Coron
Once you are now informed of the options to get to Coron, it is a good idea to give you some tips about the place, as well as some options to make the most of your time there. We have already mentioned that Coron is really beautiful. The beaches, the lakes and coves are simply breathtaking and many love the fact that the island still retains its natural appeal as it has not been commercialised that much as yet thankfully.

There are not that many hotels and hostels where to stay in Coron. The place is still a developing area, and so you will not have that many options to choose from.
